YACHT FLOATATION KIT (STORAGE OPTIONS)

EL 1000 anchored to a glassed in 10mm (3/8'") chain which is 30cm (12") in length. Three 1.5oz matt cut 30cm x 30cm (12" x 12") used over the chain. NOTE: Hole top of bunk leading the anchoring hook to the chain inside locker. The same hole is utilised for the air hose to exit the locker. The edge of the bunk cushion will push under the EL 1000's valise.

EL 500 hanging, stored off the floor. Anchor point is a 10mm (3/8") U-bolt throught the bulkhead and is backed with an aluminium plate 5mm (3/16") thick on the locker side of the bulkhead.

EL 1000 folded and vacuumed flat then stored under the bunk cushion.

A scuba diving cylinder fitted with an air distributor. Hose and boat valve connector. two hoses can be connected to a standard air distributor, however on request a third hose connection can be fitted.

Ocean Strider fitted 4 x EL1000s and 1 x EL500 also carried other three EL500 for salvage on board. These are inflated for inspection before an Ocean crossing. The bags were stored on the around the world voyage taking very little storage space using the above illustrated methods.

ANOTHER METHOD OF STORAGE:
If it is not convenient to store the bag secured to the anchor point and air supply, Turtle-Pac will supply a fast connect Kamlock hose connection to "click connect" the air supply in seconds. The tie point hook takes a moment to hook to the anchor point. Utilising this method means that some of the bags are able to be stored out of the way BUT are easily accessed in seconds if an emergency arises.
