SIMPSON DESERT BIKE CROSSING

After searching for a solution to carry enough fuel (45 Litres) to ride my Honda XR650R solo across the Simpson Desert, I heard about Turtlepac and their flexible fuel storage products. The team at Turtlepac couldn’t have been more helpful in advising me on which product to choose and great ideas on how to safely mount the Turtlepac. Being flexible meant it molded around my gear and rack and having lots of sturdy tie down eyelets made it easy to strap on for my 1200 sand dune adventure. Once I was halfway I simply transferred the fuel into my tank with the supplied pouring spout, rolled up my Turtlepac and hit the road. When it was empty the turtle pack was the size of a two 1.25 liter soft drink bottles and when I filled it I had 20 liters of safely stowed fuel. The tie down straps supplied was perfect for attaching the Turtlepac to my bike whether full or empty. I can highly recommend the Turtlepac for adventure motorcycle riding; it’s tough as nails and a very clever solution. Thanks Laszlo!
Regards, Luke Walsh.
